TECHNOLOGY FRIEND OR FOE DURING LOCKDOWN MY VIEWS AS A COMMUNITY

First I would like to wish for the safety of all the people amidst the lockdown. Technology now is expanding its field of use like never before. Ideas that we thought were impossible are now being implemented on a global scale. There is no denying that this pandemic is catastrophic to mankind but during times like these shouldn't we focus on what we DONT have INSTEAD what can we make better of something we have. Id likes to explain to you to what extent technology has helped humanity in the pandemic and lockdown by empathizing with the life of various people. THIS IS BECAUSE WE CANNOT TAKE SOMETHING AS ADVANTAGEOUS TO THE COMMUNITY AS LONG AS ITS NOT AN ASSET TO EVERY PERSON.

My life as a student community as a whole -

I believe that my life as a student has changed to a lot of extents. I'm right now in a dilemma whether this change has increased my potential to learn or were still where we were a few years back or even worse we have degraded. After pondering on this thought and continuously relating it to my experiences I understood that it was never about the circumstances or the technology or the things that were being provided it had always mattered on how the receiver in this case the student uses it. There's a famous saying that I'm sure every parent has said to his child that is " YOU CAN BRING THE HORSE TO THE WATER BUT YOU CAN'T MAKE THE HORSE DRINK IT "

I truly believe in the philosophy that it's up to the student how he/she perceives this new technology that has been introduced in their life. If they want to make their life easier, their work more efficient and overall just improve from before or they want to take this whole god gifted opportunity as an excuse to pamper their decline in these years of lockdown.

This dilemma is only present for privileged students. The unprivileged who cannot afford let alone use the technology that's needed to sustain owns life nowadays don't have a choice. Now when this small piece of technology is the only thing keeping us from dying shouldn't it be natural for everyone to have it.

Then why is it that still many students wanting to get educated, to learn have no means to do that? The situation now for them has become so bizarre that the schools are promoting them without conducting a single class. If we think about it is the school or the children really at fault? People say that self-study is the key but they forget that we have various assets supporting that thought. They forget that we can look up to google, look up to our parents, tutors. They forget to empathize with the poor or the unprivileged who don't have anyone to look up to. If anyone were to ask me what the main root of their suffering was, I would not hesitate to reply that our infrastructure is at fault. Why is it that a country like the USA doesn't have these problems don't they have people with financial difficulties. What did they do that we should adopt or incorporate to ensure that right to education is no longer a utopian dream?
